As many of you know, G had his first concert on Sunday. I went and it was a good, though loud, experience. They played 4 songs + an encore. They will be playing again next month since they came in 2nd at the Empyrean's contest. Here's a sample. It's hard to tell, but G's female fans are on the right. There were about 7 of them.
After only 1 month, our kitchen is finished. I really wanted it to be functional, pretty, and cozy. I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out, Jed did an amazing job!
My Mom helped me un-pack everything and we found a new home for each item. I have plenty of space left, which is exciting. Thanks to Mom for helping me!
Yesterday we went to the granite shop to look at our slabs and layout where we want the counters cut from. As has been the case throughout this remodeling adventure, the fabricator was extremely helpful in the process. He explained that the two slabs we ended up with were cut out of the mountain at the same time and were almost mirror images of each other. That made the layout process easier. He showed us how to layout the templates so that the counters would follow the natural flow of the stone. Who knew?
While we were at the granite shop Jed installed the light above the sink area and all off the crown molding, upper cabinet doors, and knobs. It's looking pretty good! Today the floor goes in which means my dining room will be out of my living room. Yay!
